I Answered Yes
To avoid embarrassment I answered yes to the Elders who invited me to attend Church that coming Sunday. That incident unknowingly led me into a clear path which I never thought I would take.

My parents were baptized in Guimba when I was only four years old. I was baptized when I turned nine. I was not able to stay active because of the challenges I faced. Until one day the missionaries visited and invited me to attend church. I was 17 years old then.

That invitation made me see the value of attending Sunday services once again. I also started reading the scriptures again. I was able to recognize the workings of the Spirit, which I never did before. I slowly gained my personal testimony.

I made a commitment to remain active and will live what I have learned from my mission. I will keep the sacred covenants my wife and I made inside the temple. I will continue to be my brothers’ servant.

I am grateful to the missionaries who visited me that day. I now have a strong testimony of home and visiting teaching. I know that the Church is true. I know that this is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I know I am in the Lord’s path and that is why I never regretted answering yes to the invitation of the missionaries.
